Specialist Disrepair Works

Here at Arvag Ltd we are here to support our clients no matter what the circumstance that could arise when undertaking works in the Social Housing sector. We understand completely when a client turns to us and say's "we have an urgent or sensitive disrepair case" as we have been there many times before offering our client our full in-house services. 

For the client we aim to be a one stop-shop utilising all our property expertise all under one roof. When it comes to the client it takes the headache away as they will have just the one point of contact. 

After being briefed by the client and working through the Scott Schedule closely together and a full specification of works built from that we then create our programme of works. Once agreed with the client the job is then passed over to us where it is treated with a matter of both urgency and importance.

Following a team meeting we will then allocate the resources to the project and then one of our trained and experienced RLO's will contact the resident to book in our initial visit. With the initial visit the aim is to explain to the tenant what the works are going to entail and how long they are going to take.

If there is going to be a large amount of intrusive works sometimes it’s better to arrange a decant with the client for the resident if they agree. This helps to speed up the works as we are then not restricted in what we can achieve during the working day. 

During the works we will arrange the necessary site visits and inspections to make sure the work is to the highest standard possible. At Arvag Ltd these are just the challenges where we look to prove ourselves to both the resident and the client. 

In the past we have undertaken urgent disrepair works in;

  • Fire damage refurbishment work (full scope)
  • Specialist cleans and works to sewage damage properties
  • Damp and Mould treatments and the necessary remedial works
  • Kitchen & Bathroom upgrades 
  • Disability works such as wet rooms and adaptions 
  • Full electrical rewires following fire/water damage
  • Boiler replacements for hot water and heating upgrades
  • Pest Control services dealing with large scale infestations
